LinkedIn InMail is a premium messaging feature that allows you to directly message other LinkedIn members that you are currently not connected to. This means you can talk to your 2nd-degree and 3rd-degree connections without the need to connect with them.

There are 2 types of InMails on LinkedIn:

  1. Paid InMails, which send a message with a connection request and are gated at 50 credits per month with the Sales Navigator plan (users can accumulate max 150 credits).

  2. Free Open InMails, which are messages sent exclusively to Open Profiles without a connection request.

Open InMail are InMails sent to Premium profiles (profiles with a gold LinkedIn badge on their page) who did not disabled the ability to receive free InMails from others. Such profiles are called “Open profiles”.

SocialLead’s Open InMail feature provides users with more ways they can connect with LinkedIn users on their search lists. In addition to the 400+ monthly connection requests they can send through SocialLead, InMail messages can be sent to search list prospects with Open Profiles, allowing end users to leverage these key values.

Limits:

  • 35 per/user, daily (across all campaigns)

  • 700 per/user, monthly (across all campaigns)
